Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about Flixio - what it is, what it costs and how to install it on your phone, computer or TV.
What is Flixio?
Flixio is a free website and web app for watching movies, cartoons, documentaries, shorts, live TV and series. It indexes videos that are publicly available on YouTube and organizes them by language and category, so you can find something to watch in seconds.
Is Flixio free?
Yes. Flixio is completely free - there is no subscription, no trial and no payment details to enter.
Do I need an account?
No. You can browse and watch everything without signing up. Just pick a title and press play.
Where do the videos come from?
Every title is a public YouTube video, played through YouTube's official embedded player. Flixio does not host any videos itself; when a video is removed from YouTube, it disappears from Flixio too.
How do I use Flixio?
Choose a category such as Movies or Cartoons, browse the list or use the search, then open a title and press play. Use the language button at the top to switch to another language catalog.
How do I install Flixio on Android?
Open flixio.app in Chrome, tap the menu (⋮) and choose "Install app" or "Add to Home screen". Flixio then opens from your home screen like a regular app.
How do I install Flixio on iPhone or iPad?
Open flixio.app in Safari, tap the Share button, then choose "Add to Home Screen". The Flixio icon will appear next to your other apps.
Can I use Flixio on a PC, Mac or TV?
Yes. On a computer, open flixio.app in Chrome or Edge and click the install icon in the address bar to add it as an app. On a TV, open flixio.app in the TV's web browser, or cast it from your phone or computer.
Is there a Flixio APK to download?
No. Flixio installs straight from your browser as a web app, so there is no APK file to download and it always stays up to date. Be careful with "Flixio" APK files on other websites - they are not from us.
Which languages does Flixio support?
Flixio is available in English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Russian and Italian. Each language has its own catalog of titles in that language.
How is Flixio different from Netflix?
Netflix is a paid subscription service with its own licensed catalog. Flixio is free and needs no account: it is an index of movies and shows that are already publicly available on YouTube.
